Bethal couple loses everything in house fire

A couple returned home after a quick trip to the shop to find their home in Percy de Kok Street in flames. The blaze is thought to have begun at about 1pm.

The fire department and emergency personnel were on the scene within minutes of the fire being reported by neighbours.

The fire could not be contained and spread throughout the whole house. It is unclear how the fire started.

Firefighters are still on the scene to ensure the fire is completely extinguished.
