Bethal Licencing Department closed until 1pm on 8 June

People wanting to make appointments for their learner’s and driver’s licenses were turned away today at 9.30am at Bethal Licencing Department.

They were told they had to bring up to date some admin work and that the office will reopen at 1.30pm.

Mr Bheki Kubheka, Govan Mbeki Municipal spokesman, said the closure is a result of a consultation with the licensing employees by the Provincial Department of Community Safety and Liaison.

“It is about a possible function take over,” he said.

He said the office will be closed until 1pm.
