The Lekwa Municipality issued a notice on 12 June about a planned electricity supply interruption.
It will mainly affect Sakhile residents on Wednesday, 14 June and Thursday 15 June due to the following reasons:
• The municipality will be replacing a mini sub-station and upgrading the Rooikoppen overhead 11 kv line.
• This operation is planned to take place between 8am and 5pm on each of the indicated days.
• It is expected to affect Wards 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 11.
Areas that might be affected are:
- Mqhashi Section
- Ext 2
- Sphingo Section
- Loss Section
- Ext 3
- Railway House
- BJ Homes Section
- Jabavu Section
- Maroka Section
- Phalama Section
- Cross Roads
- Simendeni Section
- Khilani Section
- Ext 1
- Rooikoppen
