Chrissiemeer police hold a “Take a Child to Work ” day

The aim of the initiative was to expose learners at an early age the work environment and policing as a career choice.

The Chrissiesmeer Police held a “Take a Child to Work” day campaign where learners of Laerskool Chrissie, Lake Chrissies Secondary and Warburtom Combined School participated in.

The aim of the initiative was to expose learners at an early age the work environment and policing as a career choice.

The selected learners learned about different types of crimes, abuse and the variety of careers offered in the police service.

They were taken to look at how police performed their duties at the CSC (Client Service Centre) and to the prison cells where prisoners are kept.

Learners were addressed about the enhancement of self-esteem, inspiring and motivating each other to reach their full potential with the theme of the being “Dream, Believe and Achieve”.
