Secunda residents help Knysna fire victims

Donations are streaming in for Sasol Junxion Garage, the Ridge Times and Eagle Logistics’ project to collect the items that Knysna residents need. Secunda 231 Round Table also delivered many items that were collected with the help of Five Star Spar.

Donations are streaming in for Sasol Junxion Garage, the Ridge Times and Eagle Logistics’ project to collect items that Knysna residents need.

Secunda 231 Round Table also delivered many items that were collected with the help of 5 star Spar.

“We would like to thank Five Star Spar for helping us to be able to collect so many items for this project.

“We encourage residents to also donate towards this project,” said Mr Neville Kotze, Secunda Round Table’s chairman.

Personnel will be available 24 hours a day at the Sasol Junxion Garage between Secunda and Trichardt to accept donations.

Mr Martin van Wyk, who took the initiative to begin the project, said: “I am excited over the project and especially to see how the community comes together to help those in need.”

“We call on Secunda residents to see the need in Knysna.

“Let us reach out to Knysna with a helping hand.”

Donations can be delivered 24 hours a day at Sasol Secunda Junxion on the corner of Ahmed Katrada Street and the P185/2 road between Trichardt and Secunda.

Any donations will be appreciated, but specifically the following:

– Beds and mattresses

– Clothes for adults

– Baby and children’s clothes

– Baby diapers

– Blankets

– Toothbrushes and toothpaste

– Soap

– Hairdryers

– Brushes

– Milk

– Coffee, sugar and tea

– Cooking oil

– Tins of soup or powder

– Rice

– Spaghetti and pasta

– Salt

– Oats

– Water

– Stationery for learners

– School bags

– Food for pets
