BREAKING NEWS – Road between Bethal and Standerton closed due to accident

According to Standerton Advertiser journalist, Ms Alida Lake, one person in the vehicle is trapped and efforts are ongoing to free him.

UPDATE: 27 June, 7.40pm

According to new information, the occupant in the vehicle has been removed and transferred to Mediclinic Highveld in Trichardt.

He apparently sustained injuries to his legs, but the full extent of his injuries is unknown.

Traffic is still congested, but clearing slowly but surely.

27 June, 7.29pm

An accident between a truck and light passenger vehicle is causing a traffic congestion between Bethal and Standerton.

Emergency personnel are currently on the scene.

According to Standerton Advertiser journalist, Ms Alida Lake, one person in the vehicle is trapped and efforts are ongoing to free him.

This is a developing story and as such, information is vague and can not be confirmed as yet.
