A 68-year-old man from Sakhile was stabbed, robbed and raped at his house on 4 July.
According to the complainant, he heard a knock on the door about 3am and did not respond.
A few seconds later he heard a thump on the door and got up and went to check and saw two men.
“They demanded that the lights be switched on,” the complainant said.
“I responded that I do not have electricity and they then used their cell phones.”
He could positively identify one of the perpetrators, while the other man was wearing red trousers and a wool hat.
“One man put a knife to my chin and asked for my grant money.”
