eMBALENHLE – Angry residents have closed down a guest house in Ext 5.
This came after a women was allegedly stabbed and killed by her boyfriend in the guest house recently.
According to residents, the woman was found by one of the tenants who called the neighbors for help.
They said it was not the first time that a similar incident has happened at the guest house.
A resident who wanted to stay anonymous, said the activities at the guest house lead people to think it is a brothel.
He said “shady characters” constantly go in and out of the premises.
“A man was nearly killed by a woman who caught him cheating at the guest house recently.
“If this is a brothel, our homes and children are in danger.
“The guesthouse has been doing business for more than five years and is run by a foreign national from Ghana or Uganda.
“We have tried to talk to him and the owner of the house, but without any luck.”
Residents said they cannot sit still while corrupt activities are conducted in their community.
The police did not comment.
