Forgiveness encourages learners to study locally

Ms Forgiveness Mokalapa (21) loves to promote education and helping the youth to choose their careers.

She is a media student at the Boston College and a director of Forgy Mokalapa Events of Honor.

Ms Mokalapa hosts various educational events and career awareness campaigns in the area.

She recently hosted the Ligotshwa Lisemanzi Career Awareness Event at the Sasol eMbalenhle Club.

The event was attended by more than 100 Grade 9 learners and 19 from various local schools.

Ms Mokalapa said the event was aimed at exposing learners to the various careers that are available and giving them information about where they can study and apply for funding.

Various speakers encouraged and shared with the learners their different career fields and their day-to-day routines at their workplaces.

Various institutions were also assisting with information about the courses they offer.
