The Standerton Advertiser spent their 67 minutes on 18 July taking over the role of car guards at Super Spar.

Staff warmly greeted smiling customers although some were taken aback by the red-jacketed group insisting on carrying shopping parcels and negotiating motorists safely out of parking spots.

The tips received were fairly divided among the current guards.

The guards could enjoy something to eat and drink and the consensus among personnel indicated the hard work involved in doing their job.
