Eight injured in two separate accidents in Secunda

Nobody suffered serious injuries.

Four people were injured on Friday night, including three young girls, when two vehicles collided in Walter Sisulu Drive in Secunda.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at approximately 10.30pm and found a bakkie parked in the middle of the road.

A woman and three young girls wee on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the four patients and found that they had sustained minor to moderate injuries.

They were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to hospital for further care.

The vehicle that had collided with the bakkie had allegedly fled the scene.

Local authorities were on the scene to investigate the cause of the collision.

Men injured in accident

In another accident, four men were injured early yesterday morning when their light motor vehicle rolled multiple times off the R546 in Secunda.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the light motor vehicle lying on its roof some distance away from the road.

Four young men were walking around the vehicle.

Paramedics assessed the men and found that all four had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

They were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Evander Hospital for further treatment.

The cause if this incident will be investigated by local authorities.
