
Farmers and the police recently held a meeting to discuss the rise of stock theft in the area.
The farmers informed the police they will work with them to fight this crime.
The parties discussed strategies on how they can prevent stock theft.
The station commander, Mr Abel Mahlangu, encouraged the farmers to boost their security measures and to work closely with the police.
He promised the police will intensify their patrols in the farming area and hopes those arrested for stock theft, will receive harsher sentences.
