UPDATE- Police arrest man who allegedly sold Standerton butcher stolen meat

He allegedly stole two cows, slaughtered them and sold the meat to Mr Mitchell for R7 800.

Police arrested Mr Mphikeleli Dlamini in connection with alleged stock theft.

He is an employee of Mr Peter Mitchell, the local butcher, who was recently charged with alleged possession of stolen property.

He allegedly stole two cows, slaughtered them and sold the meat to Mr Mitchell for R7 800.

According to police, Mr Dlamini was formally charged with stock theft and will appear in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court alongside Mr Mitchell on 1 August.
