Evander drug suspect arrested by Hawks and Secunda Dog Unit

EVANDER – More Ojike (48) has been remanded in custody after appearing briefly in the Evander Magistrate’s Court for dealing in drugs.

He was arrested on Sunday by the Hawks’ South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau (SANEB), Crime Intelligence and the Secunda Dog Unit after they received information that the suspect was allegedly transporting drugs.

Members acted swiftly and the vehicle was spotted and pulled over in Charl Cilliers.

Searching the vehicle, they found two plastic bags containing uncut Cat and three cell phones and they seized the vehicle.

The suspect will reappear in the Evander Magistrate’ Court on 14 August for formal bail application.
