California tourist in accident just outside Standerton

According to Mr Liao, he was driving behind a vehicle with a truck in front of it.

A tourist from California, Mr Michael Liao, had a bad experience when he passed through Standerton on the last stretch of his sightseeing holiday trip.

He was involved in an accident just outside town en route to Sabie and the Kruger National Park.

Mr Liao sustained no injuries, but his rented vehicle was damaged.

According to Mr Liao, he was driving behind a vehicle with a truck in front of it.

When he considered it safe to overtake, he indicated and proceeded.

He said the driver swerved into his lane while he was coming up next to the car.

Mr Liao lost control of the vehicle when trying to avoid the accident.

“The vehicle span out of control,” Mr Liao said.
