EFF encourages land grabs and invasion of unused RDP houses

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) came in large numbers to support the Mthethwa family during their court appearance at the Evander Magistrate’s Court for trespassing on Friday, 8 September.

The family was arrested after they were illegally given an unused RDP house by the EFF.

The case was postponed to 4 October.

The EFF said they will keep coming to the court to support the family and believes the arrest of the family was unfair.

Mr John Mahlangu, EFF leader, said the party believes this case will yield positive results and will expose corruption at the municipality.

He said his party is encouraging land grabs and invasion of unused RDP houses because the municipality is not taking responsibility.
