A motorist was robbed last Tuesday between eMbalenhle and Graceland at about 3.30pm.
The man is from Gauteng and said a silver Honda Ballade followed him, overtook him and forced his car off the road.
“Before I could do anything, two men got out of the car. One was armed.”
The men got into his car and began to search him and the car.
They stole his cell phone and R51 000 that he was supposed to hand over to someone in Secunda.
The victim could not divulge why he was travelling with such a large amount of money instead of making an electronic transfer.
Lt Thulane Gamede confirmed that a case of armed robbery was opened at Secunda Police Station.
He urged motorists to be always alert and to make sure their vehicle doors are locked.
