Local business forums and the Elikhulu Project management reach consensus

A meeting was held on Thursday, 12 October at the Evander Gold Mine security offices where an agreement letter was signed.

This came after local business forums marched to the Evander Gold Mine to raise concerns over the Elikhulu Project.

The forums voiced their dissatisfaction with the awarding of tenders and the recruitment strategy of the mine management.

More than a thousand locals, led by the forum, marched to the Evander Gold Mine and demanded that locals are prioritised for employment and business.
