Companys’ contract terminated after failing to successfully transfer the municipality to the new billing system

The Council will continue with the old system until a suitable contractor is appointed.

The Govan Mbeki Municipality has taken a resolution to terminate the contract with Vesta Technical Service following
their alleged failure to successfully transfer the municipality to the new billing system.

Ms Flora Maboa-Boltman, executive mayor, said this has caused many problems and financial loss as the billing system was not accurate.

The resolution was taken during the Council meeting held at Govan Mbeki Municipality Council Chambers on Tuesday, 31 October.

The Council will continue with the old system until a suitable contractor is appointed.

Ms Tiona Kuiken posted this photo on the Secunda Utility Services Forum this morning, 1 November of the queue in front of the licence office.
