Theft out of motor vehicles increased in the CBD in the past week.
Lt Bettina Zondo, spokesman of Secunda Police Station, urged people to lock valuable possessions in the boot of their vehicles.

During the week, bags, laptops and other valuables were stolen out of vehicles.
According to Lt Zondo, criminals are now beginning to steal anything to sell for the festive season.
She also warned people to be careful when they walk alone in open fields or in the green strips.
A man was robbed of his cell phone at gunpoint last week, as well as cash in the open field near PDP Kruger Street.
