Panorama Café was robbed on Sunday, 5 November.
According to police, five men entered the shop at about 7am. Two of them were armed.
It is alleged that they pointed the fire arms at the shop owner and his wife and demanded they open the till and the safe.
The shop owner cooperated and R50 000 were stolen from the safe and cigarettes to the value of R15 000 were also stolen.
Const Valencia Koma, police spokesperson, said: “Customers who were inside the shop and those who came in during robbery, were pushed into the kitchen by the suspects.
“The suspects fled the scene in a white Mercedes Benz. A case of armed robbery was opened and no arrest has been made so far.”

The police said the robbery took place at about 6.50pm when the suspects entered the supermarket. Two of them were armed.
They pointed the firearms at the cashier and other employees and took R3 000 cash from the till and fled the scene in a white BMW.
A case of armed robbery was opened and no arrest has been made so far.

“We urge the community and business owners to be vigilant at all times as we are now approaching the festive season. The criminals are all over using every opportunity or chance they get,” said Const Koma.
