16-year-old murder accused gets R500 bail

A 16-year-old boy out on bail to write final exams.

The Standerton Magistrate’s Court granted bail of R500 on 6 November to a 16-year-old murder accused.

The teenager was arrested in connection with allegedly stabbing Mr Mpho Lephoto (21) with a pair of scissors on 31 October.

According to the boy’s defense attorney, the suspect should be granted bail so he can be able to write his final exams.
