eMbalenhle gang allegedly assaulted and killed 62–year–old man

Locals took the law into their own hands to fight gangsters terrorizing them.

This came after a 62–year–old man was allegedly assaulted and killed by the gang on Monday, 30 October.

According to residents, the gang was robbing people from various items, including cell phones and money, and they were allegedly bullying locals.

The community of Extension 22 then mobilised themselves to fight back on Sunday, 29 October.

“When we got there, we found 19 of them in a shack with various weapons, however because of the large number, the residents ran away and only three were apprehended.

“The three were assaulted and one of them was later taken to the hospital.
