Streets in parts of eMba filled with sewer spillages

The streets are filled with the spillages and some roads can't be traveled on because of the stagnant sewage spillage.

The stench due to sewage spillages, is unbearable in areas, especially in some parts of Extension 26, 7, 10 and 15.

Residents in Extension said the drain in the area has been overflowing for more than two months and they have lost faith that it will ever be fixed.

They have lost count on how many times they have reported this to the municipality.

The locals said the sewage overflows into the streets exposed children and elderly to various illnesses.

The Govan Mbeki Municipality did not comment about the recent sewer overflow in eMbalenhle.
