Bodyguards of Mr Sakhile Mahlangu’s, MMC for Planning and Development, were arrested on Friday, 17 November for assaulting an ANC ward councillor.
According to reports, the councillor, Mr Aaron Mbokazi, was attending the branch general meeting (BGM), where they were suppose to elect a candidate that will attend the ANC conference in December.
It is alleged that a dispute began when he apparently raised concerns regarding the information written in the attendance register.
