Sasol will be hosting the first Govan Mbeki Municipality Non Profit Organisation (NPO) Social collaboration session on Thursday, 30 November.

The purpose is to raise awareness of NPO compliance and the governance processes.

The Department of Labour, the South African Revenue Services and the Department of Home Affairs will also share information with the NPO representatives pertaining policies and processes in their respective areas.

Sasol believes in partnering for community transformation, therefore this collaboration session was an initiative to make sustainable change in the area of the NPOs which will benefit the communities in which they operate.

Sasol engaged the Department of Social Development in its request for support to create awareness and a platform from which NPOs can be empowered to understand the processes and be enabled to comply with the requirements.

Ms Maureen Mboshane, vice president: Sasol Secunda Corporate Affairs, said: “Sasol is involved in developing and empowering its fence line communities through many interactive engagements, of which this is one.

“We are pleased to be working with our stakeholders to make a real difference.”
