Govan Mbeki Municipality reaches out to disabled and senior citizens

The session was aimed at reaching out to persons with disabilities and senior citizens by attending to issues raised during Taking the Legislature to the People.

Govan Mbeki Municipality hosted the Disability Rights Awareness Month working session at Raymond Mavuso Community Hall in eMzinoni on Wednesday, 22 November.

The session was aimed at reaching out to persons with disabilities and senior citizens by attending to issues raised during Taking the Legislature to the People that was held at eMzinoni Stadium from 11 to 15 September.

Service queries ranging from human settlements, the municipal billing system, indigents, stands, social grants and identity documents were raised.

Officials from the municipality and affected government departments were available to assist the public with these issues.
