Fourth suspect in Mathenjwa-murder case handed over by his family

A fourth suspect, Mr Thabiso Morajane (30), was handed over to the police by his family on 29 November.

The Standerton Police apprehended three suspects, Messrs Themba Solomon Nhlapo (19), June Fanyana Mthembu (29) and Bongane Ngubeni on 25 November in connection with the murder of Mr Sithelo Esihle Mzwandile Mathenjwa (37).

A fourth suspect, Mr Thabiso Morajane (30), was handed over to the police by his family on 29 November and appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s  Court on 30 November.

All four accused appeared again on 7 December for formal bail application.

Co-workers of Mr Mathenjwa and #IAM,  a human rights organisation advocating against social ills such as all forms of abuse, rape, inequality, human trafficking and xenophobia, opposed bail.
