Police urged motorists to be on their guard when they park their cars.
This came after a case of attempted theft of a motor vehicle was opened on Friday, 1 December.
The thieves broke a window of the car that was parked in a parking lot, but they could not steal the car as they were apparently distracted.
Police are investigating.
