Police arrested a 30-year-old man from Lesotho for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition between Evander and eMbalenhle.
He was travelling in a suspicious car with another occupant who the police believed was the driver.
During a police search, the police recovered the firearm that had no serial number, a 9mm Norinco model 77B loaded with 9 rounds.
The man was arrested and detained at the Evander Police station.

The police are investigating and the man will appear in the Evander Magistrate’s Court.
