Govan Mbeki Municipality ignores river of sewage in field behind Laerskool Oranjegloed Primary School

“They will need about 200 bags of lime to fix this sewage leakage and they told me they do not have lime in stock right now,” said Ms Chamberlain.

Residents have been complaining about a huge sewage leak in the open field behind Laerskool Oranjegloed Primary School since 1 December.

The school reported it to Govan Mbeki Municipality, the residents, a guest house owner and Ms Mariaan Chamberlain, DA councillor, but the problem still persists.

According to Ms Chamberlain municipal workers went to have a look at the problem, but the leak has not been fixed.

“They will need about 200 bags of lime to fix this sewage leakage and they told me they do not have lime in stock right now,” said Ms Chamberlain.
