Police warned job seekers about jobs advertised on the Internet or Facebook.
They said in most cases applicants are asked to reply “Yes” or comment on a cell phone, then they will be called back and asked for documents.
Later they will be told about a fee for uniforms or administration that need to be paid before you can be employed.
Const Valencia Koma said: “We advise people to verify with the companies’ human resources management about vacancies at their companies, and also remember that you cannot pay to be employed.
“Employers can only deduct money for uniforms from your salary.”
