Mayflower police arrested a man in connection with an attempted and robbery in Dundonald.
The suspect was seen and held up by community members after finding attempting to rape a woman.
The victim’s cell phone, valued at R900, was recovered from the suspect by police.
He appeared at the Eerstehoek Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 19 January and the case was postponed to 24 January for further investigations.
The suspect is remanded in custody.
