Gert Sibande acquires new fleet

The fleet consists of two Tipper Trucks, a TLB, Water Cart, Bomag Roller and a Low Bed Truck.

Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) presented a ‘yellow fleet’ to Municipal Councillors, Executive Mayors and members of the media at their offices on 25 January.

Their investment of R6,3-mil resulted in acquiring two Tipper Trucks, a TLB, Water Cart, Bomag Roller and Low Bed Truck .

Mr Absenia Habile, Municipal Manager, explained that investing in the earth-moving equipment and graders was a cost-effective measure which would have a positive impact on service delivery in the local municipalities.

The programme is in full swing with the grading and re-gravelling of roads as well as pothole patching in the seven municipalities under GSDM.
