An undisclosed amount of money and property to the value of about R16 000 were stolen during a business robbery on Friday, 26 January in eMbalenhle.
According to the police, a shop assistant was in the shop when a man entered and ordered him to open the safety door.
When the assistant refused, the suspect threatened to assault him.
The suspect then left, but when the bakery delivered bread, he saw his opportunity to get into the shop.
He stole money, cigarettes, airtime and groceries and then fled the scene.
Police are investigating.
