Victory Taekwondo fighters win medals, will compete in world champs
The Taekwondo fighters competed in form categories such as weapons, sparring, traditional and combat weapon sparring
SECUNDA – Fighters from Victory Taekwondo Club in Secunda raked in the medals at the Secunda District Competition held at Graceland Casino, Hotel and Country Club over the weekend.
The competition saw 11 Taekwondo clubs participating, with 43 fighters from Secunda showing off their skills in the Graceland Arena on Saturday, 17 March.
Sabumnim JP Vorster said the competitors from Secunda snatched up 36 gold medals, 39 silver medals and 29 bronze medals.
They competed in form categories, such as weapons, sparring, traditional and combat weapon sparring.
Sabumnim Vorster, Erika Vorster, Sasha-Lee Vorster, Cornelia Bosch, Willem van Heerden, Dezane van Heerden and Danie van der Berg also took part in the competition.
They are the elite of the Victory Taekwondo Club in Secunda and have been selected to take part in the world championship in Little Rock, Arkansas, America from 9 to 15 July.
