The Lekwa Municipality issued another notice on their Facebook page which reads as follows:
PLEASE note that refuse removal schedule is back to normal.
We apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused.

A notice was put on the Lekwa Municipality’s Facebook page on 30 May about waste collection disruptions.
It reads as follows:
*NOTICE: WASTE COLLECTION DISRUPTIONS*
A notice is hereby given to the community and businesses of Lekwa Local Municipality that WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES can currently NOT be rendered due to logistic problems.
Residents and businesses are requested to keep all refuse on their premises until further notice.

The Standerton Advertiser sent questions regarding the logistical problems to Ms Thobeka Mtshiselwa, spokesman of the Lekwa Municipality, on 30 May at 4.56pm and is awaiting comment.
