Help throw a birthday party for a boy rescued from child labour and human trafficking

This special day will be held on 16 June and the community’s help is needed to make this an extraordinary day.

EVANDER – Janelle Huis has just taken in a little boy who has been rescued from child labour and human trafficking.

He does not know how old he is, where he comes from or when his birthday is. He has never been to school and cannot read or write.

Ms Estelle Coetzer, founder of the Janelle Huis, a place of safety, said that according to an age estimate from a doctor, the boy is about 10 years old.

“It breaks my heart to know this little one has never had a birthday. He has never had a cake or gifts or even a birthday party.

“I believe everyone should at least have a birthday and that is why we have decided to give him a birthday party,” said Ms Coetzer.

This special day will be held on 16 June and the community’s help is needed to make this an extraordinary day.

Anyone who wants to contribute, give a gift or snacks, can contact Ms Coetzer at 082 412 0196.
