Motorist dies in collision with truck between Kinross and Kriel
"This was a really bad accident,” said Mr Sydney Sachse from GTR.
KINROSS – The driver of a BMW was killed on impact in a collision with a truck this morning, 7 June.
According to Mr Sydney Sachse from GTR who was the first emergency vehicle on the scene, the accident happened at about 5.45am between Kinross and the 50/50 crossroad towards Kriel.
“It appeared that the BMW was travelling in the direction of Kinross when it collided almost head-on with an oncoming truck. This was a really bad accident,” said Mr Sachse.
He alerted the relevant emergency workers. The driver of the BMW was declared dead on the scene by ER24’s paramedic.
The two people in the truck were not seriously injured.
