Man dies after vehicle hits him on R541 road in Badplaas

The man had relieved himself and was on his way back to his vehicle when another vehicle hit him.

Badplaas Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a man was killed in an accident on the R541 road next to the Four Rand Tavern on Saturday night, 9 June.

According to reports, the accident occurred at about 8.40pm when a man driving a white Nissan bakkie, parked next to the road to wait for a hitchhiker.

Ehen the man relieved himself and returned to his vehicle, another vehicle came from behind and crashed into him and propelled him into his vehicle.

He lost both legs and died on the scene.

Two passengers were seriously injured and were taken to hospital for further treatment.

The other driver was also rushed to hospital.

The identity of the deceased is unknown and police are investigating.
