SECUNDA – Police received information early this morning, 20 June of an armed robbery near Sasol Secunda at the Charlie 3 gate.
It is alleged that the driver of a coal truck from Richards Bay parked the truck outside the gate.
Four our men approached him.
Sgt Sibusiso Mbuli, the police spokesman, said one of the suspects opened the door and pointed a firearm at the driver.
“The other men got into the truck and also pointed firearms at him.
“Three men then started to remove the 18 tyres.
“The robbery took place from 10pm until 3am this morning when it was reported to the police.”
No arrests have been made.
