Siyabonga Mbuli adopts potholes

He began by closing the potholes around the plaza with soil during his breaks.

Mr Siyabonga Mbuli is on a mission to adopt a pothole one at a time in Standerton.

Mr Mbuli of Rooikoppen, Sakhile is a security guard at the Oriental Plaza and fed-up with the number of potholes in town.

“Potholes kept coming from every corner and no one was doing anything about the situation,” he said.

He began by closing the potholes around the plaza with soil during his breaks.

Mr Luqmaan Omar noticed his determination and was deeply touched by a man doing something positive, instead of complaining.

Mr Omar then bought bags of cement and Mr Mbuli began patching the potholes outside Mr Omar’s shop and painting it as well.

According to the shop owner, Mr Mbuli said he has a registered company and is looking for work.
