eMBALENHLE – Disgruntled residents of Extension 15 are now dumping waste at the municipal yard in the area following the backlog in waste removal.
The residents said the garbage was piling up in front of their homes for some time now and that is why they have decided to dump in the municipal yard.
This were the municipal offices and Teachookids Youth Information Centre office were torched during the violent protest in October.
Residents said they are sick and tired of speaking about the waste removal in the area and that they will continue dumping in the municipal yard until this problem is solved.
At the time of going to the press, the Govan Mbeki Municipality had not commented.
