BETHAL – All that the 92-year-old Ms Ntuzi Martha Masilela wants, is an RDP house before she dies.
She applied for an RDP house more than seven years ago and according to her, filled in a lot of forms.
Until now, all the old people around her have received houses, except her.
Her daughters are taking care of her and she has been living in her shack for more than 10 years.
Her daughters even spoke to the councillor, who has promised to look into this, but nothing has been done about it.
Ms Masilela is suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes and she also struggles with pain in her legs.
Ms Masilela receives a social grant monthly.
She struggles to get to the clinic to get her medication, and sometimes her daughters have to rent a car to get her to the clinic, other times the clinic personnel come to her house.
The Ridge Times has been asking the municipality for more than a year for comment, but until now, no comment has been received.
