KINROSS – A group of concerned Kinross residents met on Tuesday, 11 December to put together a team of individuals to effect change by bringing their concerns forward.
The list of issues faced by Kinross residents were the focus at a community meeting held by a group of concerned locals who have had enough of their voices being silenced.
Mr Lungile Dasi was elected by the community members.
A steer-com (steering committee) was formed on the evening to compile the main concerns to be taken forward to the councillors responsible for the area.
Some of the main concerns raised were the quality of basic services and the general upkeep of the community including but not limited to: poor quality of the roads leading to potholes in almost every street; the lack of lighting on the roads; sewerage spillage and the increase of prostitution in the area.
The residents hope to appeal to the councillors and unite Kinross residents in standing together.
The steer-com looks forward to more meetings in 2019 joined with the community’s councillors and taking their concerns forward to GMM.
