The ANC in Standerton suspended its Chief Whip, Ms Mapaseka Molaba, as well as two other members on 17 January.
According to ANC insiders, Ms Banana Mollo, ANC PR and MMC for Technical Services, and Mr Moss Mahlangu, Ward 15 councillor, are the other two.
Their suspension allegedly stems from a suspicion of their support in the motion of no confidence against the Executive Mayor of Lekwa, Mr Linda Dhlamini and Speaker, Ms Harriet Khota, on 20 November last year, which was tabled by the DA’s Mr Tornado Nkambule, Ward 8 councillor.
