Open electricity boxes in Ext 22 is a danger to local children

The area is dangerous for children and locals

SECUNDA – Open electricity boxes are still a major concern to residents.

Open electricity boxes pose a danger for children as kids are often seen playing around them.

“These boxes have been left open for a long time but nothing is being done to close them,” said a resident.

“As far as I know they should be closed and locked.

“Anyone can access these electricity boxes.”

The Echo has requested comment from Mr Benzi Soko, Chief of Staff at Govan Mbeki Municipality from November, but to this day, no reply has been received.
