The Standerton Advertiser went out to the dumpsite on the Secunda Road on 4 April to gain firsthand knowledge of the conditions and found medical waste among the rubbish.
A number of municipal workers, ensures that vehicles dump rubbish at the entrance and is also tasked with cleaning up.
