eMZINONI – Bongani Ngwenya, artist, rapper, recording artist and songwriter is ready to release his second official single track, “Bundle of Joy”, later this year.

He is known in the rap world as ‘Navigator’ Da Rapping Pantsula.

He grew up in eMzinoni and attended Ikhethelo Secondary School before studying Business Management at Gert Sibande College.

His passion and love for music began when he was still in primary school.

Ngwenya’s favourite artists are the late HHP, PRO, Brown Dash, Flabba, Mandoza, TKZee, Skwatta Kamp, Zola, Teargas, Brickz and Mzambiya.

He used to rap over their verses and lyrics until he decided to take his own pen and paper and began writing his own songs.

He became a full-time professional artist in 2016 when he entered the Mpumalanga Sunshine Media Awards.

He also took part in the Rapping Hip Hop competition on 5FM hosted by famous female Hip Hop DJ, DJ Mscosmo.

Ngwenya learnt a lot about the music industry in the last few years.

“However, I managed to establish my own record label called Navigator Entertainment (Pty) Ltd.

“God has been good to me, because it is not easy in this industry.

“As much as I have a passion for music, I have to take money from my own pocket while people expect me to perform for free.”

His first official music video, “Klap your Hands”, was shot in June 2018 and it was aired on Ikwekwezi FM radio station.

“Hearing myself on the national radio station was a blessing and I felt like a super star.”
