Breakers blow at sub-station, leave eMbalenhle residents in the dark

eMBALENHLE – Residents of eMbalenhle have been without electricity over the weekend.

Ridge Times readers complained on Sunday and Monday morning that there was no electricity in the entire town and that residents are not kept informed about the progress.

Mr Benzi Soko, municipal spokesman, said on Monday afternoon that electricity to parts of the town has been restored.

“It seems that some breakers were damaged at the eMbalenhle sub-station. We are working as fast as possible.

“I believe the problem will be solved by the end of the business day (Monday evening),” said Mr Soko.
